About Elrei Soaps
Elrei Handcrafted Soaps is a home-based, small business LLC specializing in artisan soap making. Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, its humble beginning started as a necessity to provide a better soap product for our family. Soap that will not dry out our skin or clog up pores. This soon turned into a hobby where improvements in production were done in order to create more batches at home. Seeing how well our soaps were doing to our skin, we decided to give a number of them as gifts to family and friends. Word of mouth eventually spread locally about our soaps and more requests trickled in, that is when we decided to create Elrei Soaps LLC.
Artisan Crafted Pure Natural
Each Elrei Handcrafted Soap is produced from a cold process method which allows for maximum customization of ingredients, resulting in a wide variety of scents tailored to each individual's preference.
We prioritize the use of natural ingredients in our soaps to ensure that they are safe for even the most sensitive skin. Each bar is composed only of basic oils and natural colorants (herbs and clays) which are mostly organic, and essential oils for scent.
Skin Safe Non-GMO Palm Oil Free Fragrance free SLS/Paraben free
Each bar of Elrei Handcrafted Soap is artisan crafted with simple, pure, and organic ingredients. We start small batches with basic oils such as olive oil, organic coconut oil, sweet almond oil, shea butter, organic cocoa butter, & castor oil. Carefully selected natural colorants that use herbs and clays are added to give each soap that distinct look. Other natural ingredients used in all our soaps include organic raw unfiltered honey and of course, goat milk.
All Elrei Handcrafted Soaps are palm oil free. Rising demand for palm oil has led to the clearing of tropical forest land. And palm oil cultivation has also been criticized for greenhouse gas emmisions, habitat desctruction, and reducing biodiversity. Although alternative sources for palm oil have been established, we have still opted to be totally palm oil free due to the uncertainty of the sustainability efforts made in the production of palm oil.
Handmade Rustic Simple
The "rustic" look of our soaps reflects this ancient process used by soap making artisans which dates back centuries. Each bar of soap is truly handmade and crafted with care.

*Although lye (sodium hyrdoxide) is used in every soap making process, including ours, this is no longer present in the final product. Lye is properly removed during saponification and curing process here at Elrei Handcrafted Soaps. Ensuring a skin-safe product for everyone.
